I have read The Diary of Anne Frank several times over my life and have visited the Hiding Place in Amsterdam twice. It was interesting to hear another prospective of Otto Frank; and his second marriage which I had never heard about! I knew he was devistated over the loss of his family, but I am glad he was able to find happiness with another. It had to be a huge guilt to carry to survive when all those you love parish in such a horrific way. Thank you for telling your story......

I am a close friend of Eva's and she has done an excellent job with this book. It fills in a lot of things that she did not cover in her two previous books including many things I did not know about her. The book chronicles her life from a young girl up to the present. It goes into great detail about her time in Auschwitz and how she currently continues to speak to groups --- especially school age kids --- about her experiences during the Holocaust.

This story, written by the step-sister of Anne Frank was very complex. The mother of the author married Otto Frank after the war and his entire family had been murdered. Eva does an incredible job of describing the rebuilding of her life, her mother's and the happiness she found with Otto. It is a unique addition to the Anne Frank story that has never been told and I highly recommend it.

Thank you so much for writing this book, these events should never be forgotten lest they be repeated, tho we know in some countries it is to some extent. This book enlightened me on many things that my parents and grand parents wanted to talk about and I believe it is a must read for every young person ! I did not know about the Anne Frank foundation or anything about Anne or Otto Frank until just recently! Thank you!

I've read other books about the Nazi death camps but not ones with a first-hand accounting. This story tells of a loving family enjoying a normal family life pre-WWII. Then the Nazis try to take over all of Europe and destroy and obliterate the Jewish families and any other peoples willing to house, hide, save these families. I hope to God we never see this type of action again in our lifetimes!
